Why we measure every port

Virtual Programming · 22 Jul 2026

Ask most porting studios how a port performs and you'll get adjectives. We'd rather work from numbers.

The things players actually notice

A port lives or dies on three things players feel immediately: native resolution, frame rate and load times. If a port drops resolution to hit a frame target, or stutters where the original was smooth, players notice — and they review accordingly.

Numbers, not adjectives

So we measure. Every port is checked against the original build for resolution held, frame rate retained and load times on the target hardware, and we hold ourselves to those figures until they are right. It keeps us honest, and it means "runs well" is something we have tested rather than something we hope.

Measured, then shipped

That discipline is why our ports hold up in the wild. A title that has been measured at every step is a title that plays the way its developers intended, whichever platform it lands on.
